2025 BMW C 400 GT launched in India.
BMW C 400 GT is a premium maxi-scooter designed for city commuting and light touring. It features a redesigned windscreen for better wind protection. The seat height is lowered to 765mm for improved accessibility. Optional extras include floor lighting with a BMW logo projection and stainless-steel floorboard inserts.
The BMW C 400 GT first came to India on October 12, 2021. Now, BMW has launched the updated 2025 model on March 7, 2025. The new version gets a 10.25-inch TFT display, USB-C port, keyless ride, standard lean-sensitive ABS and traction control for safer rides.
BMW C 400 GT price starts from Rs 12.85 Lakh (ex-showroom). It sits in the premium maxi-scooter segment and comes in a single standard variant. The scooter rivals with Honda X-ADV and Keeway Vieste 300. Also, it comes in two colour options, including Diamond White Metallic and Black Storm Metallic colour options.
The scooter uses a 350cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It produces 33.52 bhp at 7,500rpm and 35 Nm torque at 5,750rpm. Moreover, the engine is paired with a CVT gearbox that offers smooth and linear power delivery. BMW claims 0-100 kmph in 9.5 seconds and the BMW C 400 GT top speed is 129 kmph. Also, the engine refinement is high with low vibrations.
This maxi-scooter’s mileage is around 28 kmpl. It features a 12.8-litre fuel tank for a longer riding range. You can cover upto 358 Km of range on a full tank.
The scooter features a 6.5-inch Bluetooth-enabled TFT display, which shows speed, fuel level, time, trip data, and notifications. The display supports navigation and smartphone connectivity. It uses the BMW Motorrad Multi-Controller for menu navigation. There’s also a Type-C charging port for your phone.
You get Keyless Ride for easy starts, bright LED headlights with LED DRLs and indicators, and two handy glove compartments for small items. The Flex Case underseat storage expands when parked. Together, they provide around 37.6 litres of total storage space, which makes it easy to carry daily essentials and riding gear.
For safety, the scooter comes with traction control, engine braking control, and dual-channel ABS with Dynamic Brake Control. You also get an adjustable windscreen for better airflow and premium switchgear that feels nice to use while riding.
The BMW C 400 GT is built on a strong steel tube construction with an aluminum die-cast unit frame. It uses a 35mm telescopic front fork with 110mm of travel. At the rear, it gets twin shock absorbers with preload adjustability and 112mm of travel.
The BMW scooter features twin 265mm front discs and a single 265mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS and Dynamic Brake Control. The C 400 GT weighs between 214 kg and has a comfortable 775mm seat height. It rides on a 15-inch front alloy wheel and a 14-inch rear alloy wheel for good stability.
