Kawasaki recently introduced two brand new off-road motorcycles for the 2027 model year. The KX327 and KX327X models feature a fresh liquid-cooled two-stroke engine. This launch marks the company's first new large-displacement two-stroke motor in over twenty years. The bikes use an advanced electronic fuel-injection system. Therefore, the motorcycles can provide highly precise fueling across different altitudes. These motorcycles are built to satisfy competitive riders who need precise throttle response.
The track-focused KX327 model carries a retail price of 9,099 US dollars (approximately Rs. 8.71 lakh). Meanwhile, the off-road KX327X variant costs 9,699 US dollars (approximately Rs. 9.28 lakh). Kawasaki plans to start selling both models toward the end of 2026.
Moreover, both motorcycles utilize a lightweight aluminum perimeter frame for better handling. This specific chassis design comes directly from the bigger KX450F model. In addition, the two off-road bike weigh a light 106 kilograms. High-quality KYB 48mm upside-down front forks manage the bumpy terrain. Meanwhile, a specialized Uni-Trak rear monoshock handles the back suspension duties. Nissin brake calipers clamp down on large petal discs to ensure strong stopping power. Furthermore, riders get an electric starter and two selectable engine modes.
However, these two fresh models cater to completely different off-road riding environments. The standard KX327 model targets traditional closed-course motocross racing. It features a close-ratio five-speed gearbox and a 19-inch rear wheel. Conversely, the KX327X model targets cross-country and trail riding. Hence, it receives a wide-ratio six-speed transmission and an 18-inch rear wheel. The trail version also gets a larger 8.3-liter fuel tank. Finally, it adds protective handguards, a bash plate, and a convenient side stand.
